How to Make Your Golf Backswing

by Peter Kristoff.

A great golf swing is more than just swinging with your arms.

If you start with a bad golf stance, you’ll probably follow with a Bad golf back swing, a bad downswing, and a bad follow through. Towards the end of the golf back swing, some golfers make the Mistake of letting the heel of their front foot leave the ground.

The golf back swing starts at your shoulders, your shoulders and arms start turning and as you wind up it will work its way down to your hips and legs. The golf backswing is like coiling up of a spring until a maximal point of tension, then releasing that tension as a controlled explosion in your down swing. However, you should not lift your heel of your front foot but keep it well anchored to the ground.

A great golf swing is not only swinging with your arms.. It seems as many golfers are unaware of the importance the hands play in the golf swing.

An athletic stance and golf swing setup is the basis for your swing. The fundamentals of the golf swing are based on scientific facts such As center of gravity, power, thrust, consistency triangle and more. The ability to execute a powerful and balanced golf swing is the key.

The backswing is when you take your club away from your ball while Keeping an imaginary line through the ball. A good take of gives your club power and control. Swing your golf club behind your back and at the same time turn it to your target. Swing slowly and steadily using a good rhythm.

Holiday and Christmas Gift Giving Ideas for Family and Friends

by Holiday Fan

I’ve got to say I love the Holidays. The warm feeling of love that surrounds us all. The wonderful aroma of holiday food. The bright colors and decorations.

I also love to give and receive gifts. Do you ever wonder how the gift giving tradition started. There are many theories. Here are a few.

At some time in our ancient past, friends exchanged evergreen twigs and dried fruits as wishes for continuation and abundance of life in the coming year. Romans exchanged gifts at winter solstice as expressions of affection and brotherhood, giving coins for prosperity, pastries for happiness, and lamps to light one’s journey.

Santa Claus, evolved from St. Nicholas, an actual person who distributed his wealth to the needy through the giving of secret gifts. In the fourth century St. Nicholas had a reputation for his generosity and kindness, especially toward children. He was known for giving treats and small presents to them. St. Nicholas has evolved into the magical Santa Claus of today.

In our predominantly Christian culture, the giving of gifts at Christmas is said to symbolize the gifts the Wise Men brought to the baby Jesus. The wise men brought three gifts with them to honor Jesus, which had prophetic meaning. Gold- a gift for a king, Incense- a gift for a priest and Myrrh- a burial ointment for one who would die
