How to Put Better in Golf
How to Perfect Your Putting Game
Putting generally makes up three-fourths of all shots in golf. One of the goals to a great golf game is putt as little as possible. You can do that by making sure that your putts are successful. Here are some tips to help you improve your putting. Most of which you will find in the ‘How to Break 80 and Shoot like the Pros’ course.
Pull Well With the Accurate Stance and the Perfect Grip
Practice a great stance and find the best grip if you want to make sure your putt is a a hit.Find a grip your most at ease with. The Reverse Overlap Grip is popular with countless golfers. Look for another one if that’s not the grip for you. In the grip, the palm of your dominant hand and the back of your other hand should face the hole.. You also need to examine the green for breaks. There are more practical tips on this topic in the simple golf swing review.
Your feet needs to be a foot or so apart in your stance. Think about the position of the ball. To guide you in ball placement, make sure that the ball is midway between your left foot and midpoint between your two feet. Make sure your shoulders are squared and parallel to the target line.
When Putting Only the Upper Half of Your Body Should Move
When you putt, only your arms and shoulders have to be moving. Hold the rest of your body – you hips, your knees, and your feet – stationary. This makes for a smooth putt. It is also essential not to putt with your wrist, but to putt with your arms and shoulders.
Respect the Breaks of the Green
Not every green lies smooth. Often, a break or two interrupts the course to the hole.. Take these breaks into consideration when putting. If, for example, the green breaks right, hit the ball a little to the left. Also, the strength that you putt the ball should be in accordance to the length from the ball to the hole and with the severity of any breaks on the green. This is covered also in the Pure Point Gold Swing Book.
Lastly, you really need to set time aside for practice. You are not expected to learn anything in a single day. The more exercise, the better you get. Also, try and concentrate on the putt itself and not on making the shot. You’ll observe better results when you do that.
