Callaway Golf Drivers Are The Best

by Tony Graham

Golf clubs tend to come in two separate construction types called blades and perimeter weighted irons that can also be referred to as cast and forged irons. Cast irons have an enclosed space in its construction and the majority of the club head weight is on the exterior part of the head. Forged irons don’t have any special weight dispersion on the back of the club head and the center of gravity is in the center of the club head. Cast irons tend to work better for beginning golfers while forged irons need more control from skilled golfers.

The 30 Yard Drive- Are Those 30 Yards Really Important?

by Mitch Durkin

I love going to the golf course. You see golfer after golfer handing over cash to get their wired yellow bucket with their trusty golf balls. The crash of the balls as they fall into their own bucketwith the typical two left over at the end that drop to the cement as you jump to catch them. Ahhdont you love the golf course!

Then everyone marches down to inspect each stall, waiting for the one that just feels right. You know- THAT feeling. Then they try to find the rubber tee that feels right. Somehow they think this will make the perfect game. They un-mount bags, grab their drivers and start the golf day. Well- this is what the garden variety of golfer does anyway.

We take a couple of swipes to warm up and when we cant take the anticipation anymore, we grab a ball, put it on the tee, and WHAP we are off trying to hit the ball as far as possible. Heres where we are looking for the 30-yard drive to fall into place. Right?

We are all guilty of swinging as hard as possible, we all want a very long drive, and we want to hear the oohs and aahs off the tee. We are human and we feed into the marketing noise out there that teaches us to want nothing than to hit the ball further! But, my friends, as we lurch after the elusive long ball, we lose all balance and begin to play the game off our egowhich is by far the opposite approach anyone should have if they want to shoot a great game of golf.

Moderate Retirement Gifts For Golfers

by Rhys Jones

There is a commonly held belief that golf is the exclusive realm of rich entrepreneurs and businessmen. It is also still perceived as an elite sport that is not easily accessible by regular blue collared employees. However, this is not really true any more as modernization and commercialization have brought these so-called posh sports into the reach of everyone.

This is because there is no need to acquire sophisticated equipment to have a game. Unlike big game fishing and polo which require a lot of resources eg a boat or a horse respectively, golfers just need a set of golf clubs, which are reasonably affordable. With this in mind, retirement gifts for golfers and aspiring golfers are easily thought of.

Making personalized retirement gifts for golfers is really quite an easy task since you can easily personalize golfing equipment such as golf club pouches, and caddy covers. These can be knitted (that is if you are into knitting) or crafted using any other materials.

Another good idea is to think about golfing fashion by focussing on the attire worn by golfers. You may even end up starting a new trend in golfing clothing by the use of your imagination regarding the design of the clothing for your retiree.
