Buying the Right Golf Equipment

Buying the right equipment to play the game of golf is not that difficult. All it takes is for the person to look in the right place and making sure that you get value for your money. One can check the local Internet directory and use Mapquest to print out directions on how to get to the golf shop. There are also many reputable golf related websites online. Here are some tips on buying golf gear:

1. Before one starts buying golf gear and equipment, it is best to set a budget. There are many brands available at widely varying prices points. Sometimes top notch equipment can assist you in lowing your golf score.

2. How often will you use your new golf equipment is another factor. If you plan to play only a few times a year it hardly makes sense to buy expensive equipment. If you plan to take a serious interest in golf then you will want to pay more for better equipment.

Once you own your golf equipment it doesn’t take much effort to maintain it as all a person needs is a roller brush or a small towel. When starting out in golf the brand does not matter very much. Later on it will if you decide to invest more time and effort into the sport.

3. Most golf shops sell brand new and second hand equipment. If you can’t afford a new set, it is advisable to first start with a used one then save up for a brand new one later on.

Golf Cart Buying Tips

When playing golf, it is quite difficult to carry a bag full of different clubs even with the company of a caddy. This is because the bag weighs a lot and around an 18 hole golf course is a long walk. It is a good thing that there are golf carts to get from one hole to another. Golf carts save the golfer time and energy.

The first golf car was launched in 1962 and since then has been modifed. The traditional golf cart is a battery powered 2- seater that comes with a hood and has a small baggage compartment for the golf bag in the back.

If one is interested in getting one, here are a few things that a golfer must know;

1. Golf carts may not be as expensive as a real car but one still has to shell out good money to get a unit. Since golf carts are not usually sold in dealer lots like regular cars, one can check golf specialty stores that may have a unit on hand or can check these out online to find the various models available. You can make the purchase online and have it delivered to you within a few days.

Some people prefer to customize the golf car to make it stand out. After telling the dealer what kind of golf car the person wants, it can be made in a few days and delivered for the person to use and have fun with on the golf course.

Work on That Golf Swing

Believe it or not, when one performs a golf back swing, it is not just your arms that’s doing the heavy lifting. It is more about the golfer’s back as it turns away from the target. The club is tracking behind the golfer’s back more so than it is swung up towards the air.

The back swing:

If you look at it closely, the golf back swing actually works from up to down. The takeaway back swing begins from the top as you make the movement on your arms and follows as you do that turn on your shoulders. The movement then goes straight down towards the legs and the hips.

The golf back swing is primarily about how the body is being coiled upwards thus creating the needed tension in the muscles as well as the torque necessary to let out that all powerful downswing. Particularly, that swing is created by the golfer’s turning his or her upper body as well as shoulders and the turning – to a lesser degree – of the lower body and the hips.

Relax, Relax, Relax:

It is highly advisable that one should not do the swing in a hurried manner. If a back swing is in any way done in a hurry, the downswing does not become powerful. Actually the back swing will likely not be effective at all and the golfer will strike a poor shot.
